Holiday Decor Swap | December 2–9

Holiday Decor Swap | December 2–9

Elizabeth Bower
If your holiday bins are feeling a little tired, you are not alone. Instead of buying all new decor this year, Refillism is hosting a Holiday Decor Swap from December 2 through December 9. This weeklong swap is a simple way to refresh your festive look, share pieces you no longer use, and keep good decor out of the landfill.

How the Holiday Decor Swap works

  • Bring small holiday decor pieces that are clean and in good condition
Ornaments, small signs, garlands, candle holders, figurines, mini trees, table accents and similar items are perfect
  • Place your items on the swap table
  • Browse what others have brought and take home anything that fits your style
  • Leave what you want and take what you want, no formal tracking
The only request is that everything is “the good stuff”
No broken, chipped, stained, or nonworking items, please.

Larger items

If you have a larger item such as a wreath, large sign, tree skirt, or centerpiece, you can still join in.
  • Take a photo of the item
  • Write a short description plus your name and contact info so people can get a hold of you directly
On December 9 the swap will wrap up. Any remaining decor on the table will be taken to a local donation center so it can still find a new home.
This is an easy, feel good way to:
  • Try a new holiday style without spending extra
  • Clear out decor you no longer love
  • Reduce waste during one of the most “stuff heavy” seasons of the year
Stop by Refillism between December 2 and 9, bring a few pieces to share, and see what treasures are waiting on the swap table.
