Pack It Forward: Help Us Fill 25 Backpacks for Local Students
Elizabeth BowerBack-to-school season is an exciting time, but for many families, it can also be a financial challenge. This August, we're inviting our community to come together to help make a difference.
Refillism has 25 brand-new backpacks. Now we need your help filling them with new school supplies for local students before the new school year begins.
How It Works
From Monday, August 3 through Sunday, August 9, bring new school supplies to Refillism and receive 15% off your purchase as our thank-you for helping. Our address is 2572 Eastern Blvd, York Pa (Kingston Square Plaza).
All donated supplies will be used to fill our 25 backpacks, which will be given to Jackson Elementary School so they can be distributed to students who could use a little extra support as they head back to school.
Suggested School Supplies
We welcome new, unopened school supplies such as:
- Notebooks
- Folders
- Pencils
- Pens
- Crayons
- Colored pencils
- Markers
- Glue sticks
- Scissors
- Erasers
- Highlighters
- Pencil pouches
- Dry erase markers
If you're unsure what to bring, we'll gladly accept any new school supply that can help a student start the school year prepared.
Why We're Doing This
At Refillism, we believe strong communities are built when neighbors help neighbors. We hope this project makes it easy for everyone to make a difference, whether you're stopping in to shop or simply dropping off school supplies.
Every notebook and pencil pack helps fill one of our 25 backpacks and gives a local student a stronger start to the school year.
